Sausage and Potato Casserole

Ingredients

1 kg (2 lb) sausages (Continental sausages are delicious)

454 g (16 oz) can cream of chicken soup

2 1/2 cups hot mashed potato

1/4 cup sour cream

125g (4 oz) grated tasty cheese

1 egg

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

butter

Method

Grill sausages and place in a buttered casserole dish. Heat undiluted soup and pour over the top of sausages. Cream potatoes, beating in sour cream, cheese and egg. Pile on top of sausages. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and dot with butter. Bake in moderately hot oven 45 mintues or until golden brown.
